The Watergate residency has been an absolutely vital support to the work of Asylum over the past year. Even though much of our theatre work happens outside of theatres, the residency has allowed us to expand and develop the scope and ambition of our work, engaging with the wider theatre and arts community in the region. The financial support has helped to develop new work that simply would not have been otherwise possible. As a company with 'no fixed abode', the residency support goes beyond the financial, offering us space to work and play, and a place to call home.
