Artists in Residence at the Watergate Theatre 2024
Watergate Theatre is delighted to announce its continued support of Asylum Productions as Watergate Theatre Artists in Residence for 2024.
This year sees Asylum presenting a new promenade street show inspired by the history of the Rural Electrification Scheme, with an eye to the future of grid decarbonisation in Ireland.
In partnership with The Watergate, Asylum will also begin work on developing a new large scale show in Kilkenny for 2025.
Through that partnership Asylum and Watergate will continue building relationships with regional theatre artists in both community and professional contexts.
The residency will also allow Asylum to look strategically at the future of our company and our place in the broader arts ecology of the South East.
